I have a pinched nerve in my spine but work at my desk. I've been working with my doctors on pain management for the past few years, and a big part of that is good posture and ergonomic products (sit and stand deck, ergonomic keyboard and mouse, etc.). I got this stool because my sitting/standing position is higher than a regular desk and I thought a saddle seat would help with good posture. It definitely does all of those things! It's also VERY well done. Strong metal components and very easy assembly. The wheels also roll easily on carpet. Please refer to the photos: the product description is inaccurate in terms of height. The height of the chair with the piston fully extended is closer to 28 inches (not 29.5 as advertised). You also lose an inch or two when you sit down (normal contraction), so you're really at 26-27. Most importantly, this chair is REALLY uncomfortable to sit in. I understand that this is a very subjective criterion to give an evaluation. stellar rating and I feel a little bad about it. However, I don't think my experience is unique. Not sure if it's foam in the seat, if the density isn't high enough or something. I'm just saying: BUYER BEWARE.
