I am someone who cherishes my cigars and want them properly humidified. I was looking for a high-quality humidor at an affordable price and after considerable research I found the Woodronic Cigar Humidor Cabinet (part of the Axinite Collection). I have owned this humidor for a year now. Before buying, I visited Woodronic’s web site and learned more about the company. I liked that they are a woodworking company and specialize in creating handmade, wood products. This company employs true artists & craftspeople. I was also impressed by their Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification, which means the wood they are using is coming from managed forests or recycled sources. I have not encountered many woodworking companies who have this certification. When I opened the box and saw the humidor with my own eyes, the quality is absolutely superb. The quality of the shiny, lacquer finish on the outside is matched by the Spanish cedar on the inside. I opened all three drawers and noticed that all can be removed. This was important since humidors have to be seasoned periodically. When I closed the door, I noticed that the cedar on the door and the cedar in the humidor overlap at the seams. That’s an important clue to quality; overlapping cedar provides a far superior seal. The real test was how well does the humidor retain humidity over a long period of time. After seasoning the humidor and filling the drawers with cigars, I also added a professional hygrometer: the Ubibot WS1 Pro with 2 sensors. This Ubibot takes readings from both sensors every 5 minutes and stores that data in the cloud. Each sensor was positioned on opposite sides of the humidor to measure any variation in humidity levels. I then used the humidor like I normally do. That is, take some cigars out our place new ones inside, while simultaneously recording data, for 11 months. During this time, I did not use any passive humidification such as Boveda packs or electronic humidification like Cigar Oasis.11 months later I reviewed the data. I was pleasantly surprised that the average humidity level inside the humidor for 11 months was 68.07% for sensor #1 and 68.65% for sensor #2. In other words, my cigars were properly humidified over an 11-month period and the humidor never required re-seasoning. That’s extraordinary! For $199, this humidor easily outperforms any humidors in this price range and most likely outperforms its more expensive counterparts. At $199 I may buy another one as my cigar collection continues to grow. In no uncertain terms, I *highly* recommend this humidor.
