First of all, about me. I have been smoking good quality cigars for 45 years, I'm now 63 years old and started smoking at 18 years of age. Started with Macanudos, and have pretty much stayed with the Classic brands, such as Macanudos', Montecristos', Cohibas, Cubans, and more. When I kept my cigars stored I tried a bunch of cheap humidors that never sealed well, and then went for about 25 years using a foam cooler, with floral foam and distilled water, and it worked well under a watched eye. I'm not rich, and chose to spend my money on cigars. Then, years ago, I went to a few Coleman coolers, with Sistema containers and Boveda's. This system kept my cigar collection, of about 500 cigars, in great shape. I finally wanted wanted something for my living room that looked good, and worked well. I started looking at the refigerated units. But since I live in NC and keep my house around 70 degrees year round, I decided against it and wanted just to control my humidity. Finally found the woodronic, and read up on it, then purchased the three drawer 150 cigar model through amazon, and got it for around $180. I have used it for the last seven months. When I got the unit, I got rid of there humidifiers, and went with 6-60gram 69% packs, two on each shelf. I now keep 40-60 cigars in it,, refilling from my coolidor setup. It seals wonderfully, still have the original Boveda packs in it, and they haven't dried out. The humidor stays at 69%, with no fluctuation. The cigars smoke perfectly, and the unit looks good in my living space. It's not solid cedar, doesn't need to be. The drawers are cedar, the window is acrylic. I absolutely love it. I keep my large coolidors in my basement, at about 66 degrees, with almost no fluctuation, and from there fill up the woodronic about monthly. Nothing else is needed. I have no complaints. Try finding another humidor in this price range that seals, and works this well. Only the Sistema ( think tupperware) seal as well, and they look like crap in the living room. Final thoughts, if you don't want to buya really good humidor like a Daniel Marshall, and want a set it and forget it humidor, buy a Sistema box and use Boveda . or buy the Woodronic, and use Boveda, to look good. It works for me. Happy smoking to all of you !
