First I bought a set for my mother's house. I liked them so much, I bought a set to replace some of the lights in my front yard. Again, I like those so much I'm getting ready to install a third set in my back yard. My neighbor liked them so much, she's asked me to install a set for her, too. The lights are well built, and the colors are bright and vibrant. Each light can be controlled individually, so there are so many color and effects combos that you can achieve just about any effect you could possibly think of. I've had no issues with water intrusion as some reviewers have reported, so I can't speak to that other than to say that unless you're going to spend A LOT more on lights you're probably going to have some issues over time, but I could replace these two or three times over for what those other lights would cost. I think it's probably worth taking the time to make sure everything is snugged-up with a Phillips head screwdriver if that's a concern, but not to tighten them too much. If you're simply replacing existing lights, easy peasy. If you're installing as new, you need some low-voltage lighting cable, a 60W transformer, and I recommend some quick-snap low voltage connectors (ASIN B087CNWZ6N or B08QJN4DNL).
