I think I asked for size 7 (no size on label) and my son is 6 to help me determine sizing. These board shorts have an elastic waistband and a functional drawstring. There are two side pockets and one back pocket. The material is light and washes well. The inside is mesh lined and these shorts are about knee length for my son. They do look longer online, but my son doesn't seem to mind the length. The seams look great, there are no loose threads.
