Decent inverter, annoying power cord, dodgy company

The inverter itself I believe produces a modified sine wave. It has a nice compact form factor and works well for the most part. Surprisingly hard start but that seems typical of most inverters. They use self-tapping screws to attach the faceplates, which is understandable but kinda rude. Faceplates are not really designed for this. Flexibility. They use old "molded struts" to hold the fan that's guaranteed to break somewhere down the road. This should be some kind of industry standard. No additional attachment options or attachment points. Not cool. The worst part is actually the power cord. The company (Bestek/Iselector) is evasive about the cable and won't even sell you a replacement cable. And I have no idea where to get this plug and by the way thanks for not marking the plus/minus. There is no fuse inside the cable. What acts as a fuse should be in the main unit itself, which is fine to say the least. A picture of the internal parts of the cable from the cigarette lighter side is attached. I haven't taken many of them apart, but it seems to me that if the positive spring pops out of the molded retainer, it could go straight into the negative terminal. This way you have an instant short circuit. You don't even have to connect the inverter and there is no fuse to stop it. Honestly I am dropping all the stars because of the power cord and the company's quirky response to the power cord. Otherwise it might have been a normal product; could use some mounting options.
