Review on Original Engine Management 99048 Throttle by Doug Booth
Looks like the internal spring is defective
Firstly this is not a Ford OEM part. The company that did this is called Original Engine Management and hopes to cash in on people waiting for OEM parts. Also, the picture is a bit misleading; The screw holes are not metal, but plastic. For $18 it's not that much if the part works. But not mine. Looks like the internal spring has failed. When I started my car after installing this part it accelerated and hovered around 3500 rpm and if you press the gas pedal it stays there. It's time to see if I can get a refund.
