I've been working on this for the last two days and just finished the locomotive. I cannot express enough how impressed I am with this product. It's so much fun to put together, although it can be frustrating at times. My fingers are so sore right now. This product is definitely not for children. It is very meticulous and requires great attention to detail. A few tips I found helpful: 1. Take wire cutters and needle nose pliers to cut the toothpicks and attach them to the tiny parts of the train.2. Take the wax burner. A piece of wax does not do its job well, especially when applying wax to small parts and gears. Using a wax burner and a toothpick has worked wonders for me.3. Read the instructions carefully before assembling any parts. Pay close attention to the photos to ensure you are installing the parts in the correct direction. I had to disassemble a few parts because something was installed upside down.4. Get some super glue. You can try to be as gentle as possible, but many of the pieces are difficult to remove from the plate and if you accidentally apply too much force, you're bound to break a few pieces. Test-test-test on the go. If you wait for everything to finish, it may be too late to figure out what went wrong without taking everything apart. All in all it was a very exciting project. So many moving parts and details. Little surprises are waiting for you along the way, which makes the assembly much more interesting.
