We bought this supplement hoping it would solve some problems with our very old cat. She's 21 and she's starting to have weird cat issues. Searching the internet, her symptoms match descriptions of other cats who have thyroid problems. We were uncomfortable taking her to the vet for a full and expensive checkup, so we decided to try the recommended supplement first. She had some problems with the food. We switched to canned/wet food to help her. Although she likes wet food, she always seems hungry now. She gained weight, which is good. But she started this horrible howling. She howls endlessly in the morning until someone feeds her. She does the same during lunch. It's very noisy and annoying - and disrupts sleep in our house when it starts at 5am! Since taking these supplements, she has calmed down. She still howls, but not as loudly and for long as usual. You have to shake the bottle and the supplement is ugly. It's a dark color, but the taste or smell doesn't seem to bother her. We hope continued use will help her reduce crying and irritability!
