The stick is quite strong; If it bends or breaks, you don't know what you're doing. This cleaning broom does a good job of cleaning long hair (mine) and long dog hair. I find that pulling the brush back toward you over the "grain"/irregularity of the carpet lifts most of the hair. Or move it back and forth like a vacuum cleaner or mop. I don't know what is recommended for this, but both seem to work. It consists of four parts (three pole sections and a brush head). I'm glad I have this as it keeps all hair up and less hair wrapping on the vacuum attachment rollers that I have to trim later with a seam ripper (skip scissors etc. Seam ripper is a quick way to cut). Hair that needs to be removed (my side tip of the day). Overall this is a good product and does exactly what it promises. It's cheaply built. I plan to buy for my mother.
