Nice block but wouldn't waste too much on a side view.

software update was very easy as my boat sits in my garage when not on the water connecting to wifi was easy. Navigation is not that easy. You need to set up an account and download it to the micro SD chip. I haven't added it to the device yet, that will be next weekend. As for the screen, I keep it at the maximum brightness level. It is easy to see in broad daylight. Side view is almost useless. If I had to redo it I would only get the top view. Screen navigation is simple and intuitive. Again, if I had to rebuild I would buy a converter with a plug in the body instead of a transom mount. I have a Yamaha sx195 watercraft and it creates a lot of turbulence which the sonar again doesn't see, mostly only when turning.

Pros
  • marine electronics
Cons
  • boring packaging
