Only for vacationers, not for fishing.

Apparently the Raymarine Axiom is designed for amateur sailing, not fishing. Software updates included apps like Spotify, Netflix, Mavic drones, security cameras, radar, etc. Fishing was completely ignored. If you are an amateur sailor then this is for you. If fishing, choose Lowrance or Humminbird. I'm selling my device and buying Humminbird with mega picture. This is very disappointing because I liked my Dragonfly 7 Pro.

WOW this is the only way I can start this review

This thing is amazing and I haven't even started to get to grips with all of its features. The GPS works great without an external antenna, the plotter is fantastic and the 3D fish finder is the icing on the cake. Navionics is everything I use to get around because of all the detail it offers. I had to drive around late at night and Axium got me right to the pier. My only concern is that I should have gotten a 9-inch screen instead, but that's no deal breaker.

Pros
  • fish finder and fish finder
Cons
  • flimsy

I bought a Raymarine Axiom 9 in the winter (off season). When I went to install the Navionics card, I found the Navionics package and SD adapter, but no micro SD card. When my wife contacted Revain during the return period, they reassured her that the GPS was pre-programmed with Navionics software. Since then I have been able to confirm that this is not the case. I have to say the Raymarine unit works great but I am very disappointed that I did not receive the Navionics software that I…

Nice block but wouldn't waste too much on a side view.

software update was very easy as my boat sits in my garage when not on the water connecting to wifi was easy. Navigation is not that easy. You need to set up an account and download it to the micro SD chip. I haven't added it to the device yet, that will be next weekend. As for the screen, I keep it at the maximum brightness level. It is easy to see in broad daylight. Side view is almost useless. If I had to redo it I would only get the top view. Screen navigation is simple and intuitive…
