My mother suffers from severe dementia and chronic pain. Because of this, she always leans on furniture when walking. We had some furniture in a room with hardwood floors and wanted to protect the floors (felt would do for this) but also prevent the furniture from shifting when leaning or sitting/standing on it. These pads worked VERY well. The glue seems to be quite strong and keeps the furniture from sliding across the floor like it was nailed down. It also makes it difficult to move furniture if you can't lift it all the way off the floor. So keep this in mind if you need to rearrange furniture frequently or have a large item like a heavy sofa. One star because I think they are overpriced for what they are and I'm sure the return is extremely high, but they work great and I don't expect to need replacing for a long time . Time, if anything, doesn't bother me too much.
