Bought this to set up my power gear; Pictures of my Toro 421 single cylinder 4 stroke snow thrower. Easy to install the battery (CR2032) and adjust the settings. 1P1r for my application. The handle wire doesn't twist on the connector wire so I took a piece of thin steel wire like picture hanging wire and used heat shrink tubing to attach it to the handle wire. Works well but I didn't have to rebuild a new device - minus one star. After wrapping around the connector wire, there was a constant RPM reading. The display backlight turns on momentarily when the MENU or SET buttons are pressed, which is normal. If I didn't have to fiddle with it I'd give it 5 stars. Definitely worth $.
