Works great! I installed this gauge on my jittery Honda GX200 to see what RPM it was revving and to make sure I wasn't overloading the small engine. The wire is very long, but like me you can cut it with wire cutters without affecting the gauge or the accurate readings. With the Stage 1 kit installed, my little motor now revs at 5650rpm. Very happy with the purchase.

We bought this to use on a racing kart. Many other drivers use them for this purpose with no problem. It was easy to install, but half the time it was unreadable. It seems to short out and then restart. We tried wrapping it in plastic tubing to prevent short circuits, but that didn't work. This was probably due to engine vibration and not the product itself. As a result I had to buy a more expensive racing kart tachometer.

This is actually the second purchase from this set. The first lasted a few weeks, but the screen deteriorated after a few days of foggy weather. The last one I bought a week ago already had a cracked screen. I left it with a car parked in my garage. The other day it got -5f and the screen cracked. About 2/3 of it is blank now and the other 1/3 is visible but unreadable. You'd better look elsewhere. Also, don't buy devices that look the same but have a different name. It will be the same…

I bought this to be able to check my new hanging clock and especially the RPM during break-in. I've been using it for a few months now. Easy to install and works right out of the gate. I can look over my shoulder at the engine RPM while running and see the total number of hours the engine has been off. I like that I can turn it off to save battery.
