I just recently discovered that my current iPhone (new SE version) supports wireless charging and decided to give it a try. Plugging in a phone for charging isn't too difficult, but my current scheme often resulted in my charging cable getting stuck in a filing cabinet next to my desk. This one has some nice features: a modern look (black fabric, speaker fabric hides the clock face), great FM reception for weak signals, adjustable display brightness - VERY handy for bedside use, a sleep timer if you want the radio to switch off after a certain time and a USB port on the back. to charge other items or, in my case, to power my desk lamp. There are a few things that could have been better, but then the increased cost would probably have put me off buying it in the first place. The sound quality isn't what I'm used to from my Bose desktop system or some other Bluetooth devices (again, a different price point). Switches can be hard to see in the dark if you use them next to the bed. Alarm clock, and the volume control for the radio is on the back of the unit - not as handy as it could be. A consideration for the charging function – remember this is my first wireless charger and maybe i just didn't know it - my regular phone case has a thin metal plate between the case and the phone that connects to the magnetic mount in my car. In this case, the phone will not charge wirelessly. This is not a charger fault, I tried it on my son. wireless charger with the same results. If you use such a case, you need to remove it to charge.
