If you are installing a tee on the main water supply (for water filter, coffee maker, ice maker, etc.), make sure it has a valve. This allows you to turn off the water supply to your system (e.g. water filtration) without turning off the main kitchen faucet. The guy who installed our original RO water filtration just used a T with no valve, and after filtering the water the system started leaking (which they all do after a few years), we couldn't get the flow to the filter without it turn off Turn off the kitchen faucet. Bad design. Any troika with one valve will do. That worked great for me. The T-side uses a compression angle check valve adapter fitting for a standard 1/4" pipe, which is much stronger and more reliable than the so-called 1/4" plastic fittings.
