Good idea but too many problems.1) The central part looks like a smiley face. This is the part where the pedal shaft hangs and should be the strongest. The 2x4 is 1.5" wide and the two screw holes are 1". Find out! They must be vertical. Or much closer together. 2) The slot of the middle section for gripping the pedal shaft should be deeper. The mountain bike's SPD pedals are a bit wobbly. 3) I tried to center the two holes on the stud behind the drywall but didn't use the Phillips head screws. Why are you supplying us with fucking Phillips screws for this job? The drive head slips off and rounds off the head of this outdated old style screw. Hex or square head screws should have been supplied. 4) I used 2" Spax T-20 #8 head screws because I had them from a previous project) inside to secure the 2x4 bolt. Then I drove another Spax screw right through the smiley face. 5 ) There are no installation instructions! 6) Yellow plastic wall anchors and Phillips screws are not compatible. The screws spin freely in the yellow plastic and don't tighten anything in my 1/2" drywall. 7) It's too expensive or all the problems I've encountered.
