Review on πŸ”§ Klein Tools 604-3 Mini Screwdriver, 3-Inch, Cushion Grip - #0 Phillips by Anuj Mierzejewski

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Firm but curved Best-in-hand tools

I try to buy anything that's made in my beautiful country. I remember my father yelling at me when I told the hardware store owner that his screwdriver was too heavy. My father explained to me how the business works, how we should be thankful that this person has a shop where he can sell us whatever tools we need right now. I still have a #3 Vaco screwdriver. As a child, I bought handyman tools. I was at the Craftsman Club waiting for all the tool kits to go on sale so I could buy them with my paper money. I still have those tools. At 18 I had an impressive set! The Craftsman is now made in China and prices for these Chinese tools are high. I remember my father telling me to buy American ones, otherwise one day we will buy junk and pay full price for foreign ones. MY FATHER IS RIGHT! Good American goods have been pushed out of the market and foreign junk is now worth almost the same price. I've bought a lot of tools here lately and I'm sorry to say that many of them are crooked. I can't believe the German tools and knives are bent. I sent back my Zwilling knife set. I've read that foreign companies are sending their factory parts to the States because we buy by price. So sad. Just a few years ago we were doing premium stuff here. I was very disappointed when I saw that my small screwdriver was crooked. This is unacceptable in the 21st century. I know I can return it for a different one, but it takes time AND money. I don't have much either. One day I go to Klein Tools with my 4 unused crooked screwdrivers and ask them why they sent me these tools so I pay full price. I remember sending the isolated tools back there for some sort of recall 15 or 20 years ago. Have they forgotten how to craft tools? Then I stopped buying Klein and loaded onto Channel Lock. Still made in my beautiful country. If you make American instruments and ask Americans to pay full price, please be so kind as to make them straight and serviceable. This tool can be used, but it is crooked in more than one place. PLEASE buy American whenever possible. We cannot build a fighter jet, computer or electronics without parts from China.

Pros
  • Internal flanges inside the handle provide a strong, twist-resistant blade attachment
Cons
  • Lots of stuff
