The first thing that struck me was the thick consistency. Before that I used other hair masks with the same consistency as a regular conditioner. It was noticeably thicker. I was able to run the straightener through my hair while the deep conditioner soaked in and when I rinsed it out my hair's texture thickened. After towel drying it I was able to run the comb straight through my hair and it didn't tangle (usually with a regular conditioner I have to add a detangling spray to the conditioner to detangle my hair). The smell is very light, a little nutty (maybe it's the shea butter I smell). It's not floral or perfumed. The smell can be felt when applied to the hair, but after washing out the smell does not linger. For me I like it when the scent lasts, but that's not why I bought this product. For me the most important thing was that this is a good product for my hair as I damage it every 6-8 weeks which gives it highlights and colour. I like the healthy ingredients and how they care for my hair.
