Works great but needs modification

After four years of camping I've made some improvements including raising the bed. The package includes 2" wood screws to attach the wood block for the top bracket to the plywood that the bed rests on. The bolts go through so I got some bolts and nuts so there was just a round bolt head under the bed. I had to reinforce the frame where the bottom bracket was attached, but that's not the kit's fault. I also added an aluminum L bracket to the underside of the bed edge since it was just plywood…

Beware of terrible instructions!

Whoever wrote and designed the installation instructions must have been drunk or blind. It's absolutely awful and very inconsistent step by step to the point where it doesn't make any sense anymore. I'm a very tech savvy and mechanical person and literally cursed my way through this installation process. The illustrations are professionally drawn but change randomly step by step. It seems that no one has read them from the manufacturer. After an unnecessarily long installation, the lift works…

Follow the instructions = get BIG results!

Neither my husband nor I have ever installed a bed height adjuster. We bought an RV last summer and saw the need to install a heavy duty bed lift to access the storage space below. We usually base our purchasing decisions on product reviews and I have to admit that there have been some negative reviews. However, my husband liked the positive reviews that were offered, so we decided to give it a try. In the end we are VERY happy with the result! If you follow the instructions carefully and…

Works great Heartland North Trail 22crb

First I would say it works great. I bought a small one for the 24" box at the end of my queen camper bed. The mattress in the RV was uncomfortable so I made a new one and replaced the old one. This new mattress is HEAVY and it was almost impossible to access the storage drawer. I was also worried that the hits wouldn't lift the lid with the heavy stuff on it. I figured if it doesn't fully support and lift the lid it might help so I can lift it and insert a brace to hold it. So I ordered it with

A BIG clearing works, I have this one.

I did a lot of research before buying. I was concerned about the right length and weight. After looking at the diagrams and reading about the settings and how to get the right ones I bought them for my bed in my new RV. They work great. It's been over 3 months now. When the camper is not in use, it heats up to over 100 degrees. The bed rises and stays as it should. If necessary, it can be easily raised and lowered. There is only one bad thing I can say about this experience. I contacted the…

Great product once installed correctly!

We purchased a lift kit for our 22ft queen bed on wheels. The instructions are not well structured. The instructions say we need to install the bracket to the top rail. Our top rail is 1 1/2" pine. We didn't think this unit would withstand the pressures over time that it would be subjected to in normal use. So we installed a 2 x 4 under the top rail and fastened it a bracket to it. At first we couldn't get the lid to close properly or stay closed. When we found that the lift arm had to be…

Works great easy to install

Not sure why the camper would be made without them but they are! Our under bed storage was 27 inches deep and extremely difficult to lift. Also, I would use a 2x4 piece to support the bed while pulling out stored items, which was a pain. Enough! We started installation last night and the only issue I had was the block of wood holding the posts on the raised part of the bed was bumping against the bed frame. No problem, just remove it and move it 1/2 inch. That's why the instructions say: Test…

Works great in a 28ft caravan

Photos are a bit dark but you can see them better when you open them. The queen bed in our trailer weighs about 86 pounds. Our storage box is 30" long, 48" wide and 21" high. I bought a small set. We bought the mattress without measuring the space in our RV and between the foot end of the bed and the foot end of the bed are actually only about 6". wall. Attempting to lift the bed by hand to access the drawer was next to impossible, and we have never used the under bed storage space before. This
