I'm an artist and I don't like the waste created by single use paper based pallets. This silicone palette is the perfect shade of gray and can be used over and over again with acrylic paints. The first rug is cut in half because it was so big, but my second one is left intact because I have a huge painting to continue working on. When I'm done with the palette, I let the paint dry and pick off the big chunks. Then I use a nail brush to scrape off any paint/flake residue in the sink. I also have a slim album sleeve (Michael has mine) that I keep my wet palette in when I'm not done. . I put the mat in, spray it with a water bottle and seal it. Should stay moist for several days, but stays moist longer depending on how much moisture there is or if you add more.
