I love the strength and durability of these machines! I was so happy with the smaller one I bought at a thrift store that I decided to buy a large Knifty Knitter hat loom. I also tried a fake, but the plastic is not so durable or the pins fall out when knitting. The reason I give it a three is because it wasn't done right. The three dowel holes on the loom I received are sealed. I thought there might be a latch on the bottom to cover unused pins, but it's a defective part. ***** UPDATE: I added 2 stars because I returned the product and received a new one within a week! This is not a manufacturing defect, rather the pins broke off in transit. Excellent quality. Very strong, I can't twist or bend this loom at all! None of the pins are loose, so you can knit tighter loops without fear of the pins loosening and losing the loop.
