Great solution for tablet distraction

As someone who taught public school for many years straight out of college, I'm very pleased with how our little girl has taken to her new Touch and Talk . My wife is also very enthusiastic about it. Because it solves two problems that usually arise when teaching children interactively. The first solution is that your child doesn't have to deal with the distractions and games they would with their regular tablets (we gave them a Fire HD 8 last year). So you can study but focus on books that work with this device. The second problem it solves is that kids enjoy learning. Because we've had something similar in the past and our daughter just never showed any interest in using it. Using Touch and Talk is easy and ready to use. I was really surprised at how easy it was for our daughter to figure out how to use it. It only took a minute to point out how to use the stylus correctly (several times she touched things wrong on a certain page). But after mastering it, it became easy for her to use it. I think what makes it so unique is that you can decide how difficult a particular 'lesson' is without ever having to switch sides. For example one of the preschool/kindergarten STEM learning pages in the book that comes with it. The workshop features a robot with various tools and parts. Choose the first option and you'll get an idea of each part (bolts, nuts, wire, washers, screws, etc.). The next option is for your child to choose the part. But not just based on the name of the part. Or rather, the color and number of them on the page. So the robot sound asks where the three blue bolts are. Even if she forgot what the bolt looked like, she was basically getting a clue that helped her identify it on the page. And then she can challenge herself to the next level, which is to see how fast she can press the pen on the parts that the voice says. A small victory sound is a nice touch. As a former teacher, I definitely like the way Touch and Talk speaks when a child is doing something wrong. For example, what snack to give to which guest at Fishy's birthday party. You won't get a "no" answer, just an offer to try again. This is taken for granted even by teachers. I was fortunate to be assigned a fantastic, experienced teacher as my "mentor" in one of my early years. I quickly learned to avoid comments like "Oh, little checkpoint" when the student was having a hard time answering a question. You learn to rephrase your answer to avoid negativity. It seems like a small detail, but you'd be surprised how many teachers never thought about it. And how you frame your answers and encourage students to consider other ways of answering a question can make a big difference in their confidence. So I smiled when I saw that the Touch and Talk audio system was designed with the same concept. We can't wait to order more books for this book. It's a great way for our little girl to learn (we switched to homeschooling this year). But she's really looking forward to using it. How perfect is that? Nothing about it is particularly distracting. Well, there is a piano keys section where your kid can choose from different sounds and make music by tapping the keys with the tip of a pen. The musical part is great. An option where our little girl can choose a chicken sound effect. It's cute but sometimes she'll skip class halfway to play Twinkle Twinkle Little Star with chicken sounds lol. If you have a child and you really care about helping them develop their minds, then you need to order this. There is no reason not to order. Especially considering it costs about as much as two people go out to eat in one evening. Just instead of spending forty bucks on something you can only enjoy once, invest in your child's mind. Help them learn and grow. Learning in a way that is not only fun, but may be the best way for some children to learn (visual with audio cues). Don't take my word for it. Add it to your cart when you're done reading. Then check. You will receive it within a few days. And then you will see for yourself how fun and useful it is for children of different ages. I can honestly say that this is probably the best investment we've made for our daughter in years when it comes to educational and interactive stuff. My wife and I recommend it 1000% to other parents.
