I have a 3ft x 20ft putting green with a chipping mat. The chipping mat is the same height as the putting green. Thus, all my chips were from tight lies. I wanted some other lies. So I bought a GOLFIT step mat. The mat has a short turf section for hard lies, a grass turf section for "rough" lies, and a "dense and thick" turf section for soft lies. Grass and dense pitches are ideal for open play and flop shots. This GOLFIT mat is a great addition for those of you who have an indoor area for cold weather/winter practice. Even if you don't have a putting green, you can use this mat with a target and a rug. Highly recommended.
