Will not fit other 2.5mm metal threads.
This kit contains parts made from 2 different materials. All 12mm posts, bolts and nuts are made of slightly yellowish plastic, all 10mm and shorter posts are made of pure white plastic. All white studs are underthreaded and will not thread into standard 2.5mm parts, although they will thread into the nuts included in the kit. I needed 10mm clearance for my touchscreen mounted RPi and it just won't screw in. I tried to work slowly and ended up breaking the screw shank at the gap. I had to drill out the touch screen. All struts >=12mm work perfectly.
