The sump looks good and matches the gearbox well. I used this on a 1986 Chevy K20; From what I've seen and gathered, most 3/4 ton and 1 ton Chevy/GMC 400 turbocharged trucks of the era came standard with a deep sump (because they were considered heavy). mandatory models). The screw holes on the mating side had a slight burr, nothing major, and I probably didn't need to punch the edge. Disappointing drain plug that started leaking as soon as the liquid entered the sump. The connector uses a plastic washer and I tighten the screw to my liking without damaging the plastic washer. Unfortunately, the drain plug was the only reason I switched from a stock pan to this one; Now I have to buy a new drain plug. Reviews from other sites seemed to indicate a good product, but perhaps those reviews were done before the gearbox was installed and filled?
