Review on Yellow FINIS Floating Large Agility Paddles for Effective Swim Training by Jeff Bremmer

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not comfortable for me.

I hate to give negative reviews unless really needed so I've given it 3 stars due to comfort issues. I usually wear webbed neoprene gloves when I swim, but I decided to try them for something different. I didn't notice any difference in resistance between the gloves and these, but the agility paddles work. My problem was mentioned by another reviewer and it's the hole your thumb goes in that is sharp. It dug into the base of my thumb and after about 5 minutes I couldn't take it anymore so I went back to my gloves. If these paddles had a snug fitting neoprene thumb insert or even a smoother or softer hole that wasn't as sharp (for lack of a better word) they would be great but they start to hurt after a few minutes. I think I'll try another reviewer's suggestion of sanding the inside of the holes to remove the edges, or maybe try adding some sort of padding, but to me this is an obvious design flaw that's been found in every review of the product should be. written down.
