Hand paddles for water sports

Good paddles for training. I will add a list of people who have commented on uncomfortable and almost painful thumb holes. With use I found that my thumbs got used to the thumb hole or got calloused. I have found that my stroke and form have improved with these paddles. Great that they swim too!

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Love them for sports

They really helped improve hand position when swimming. Others complain that their thumb hurts. The only thing I can think of is that they haven't improved their hand position enough to not hold them down. Either that or they have really big toes. You don't have to hold them very tightly, that's the whole point.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Not bad

Corrects hand and finger technique.

bought to stop little fingers from looking up. It worked. I've been using them every day for several weeks and now my fingers stay together. I used them with gloves because the plastic was starting to hurt my thumb. I swim 2 miles a day, 7 days a week. The gloves were a life saver. I cut off the fingertips of the gloves to use my fingers when needed.

Pros
  • nice little thing
Cons
  • dubious purchase for older people

Great paddles for little hands

I used this to prepare for a swim in the open sea after seeing a trainer talking about paddles on Instagram. I have small hands and small hands have worked well. The opening didn't seem uncomfortable to me. Some reviews complain that the hole cuts the thumb. It's a matter of technique. You don't have to take it for life. I am very satisfied and use it for both freestyle and swimming.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Vanish

swimming power! good for sport

I recently started swimming as part of my Try Not to Die program. I've been watching videos on You Tube to improve my stroke and I've seen a swimmer using paddles. I already have Finis fins so I decided to give it a try. They are very comfortable for swimming and add power to my shot. I found my shoulders and arms getting stronger and I could only use them for a few circles at first. I'm working on using them all the time. Highly recommended!

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Yes, they swim! Best in Water Sports

I am very happy with it. I'm 1.80 m tall and I ordered medium. I use them in my workouts and definitely feel like I don't want to go smaller. They stay on your hands pretty well as long as you get the shots right. And a big bonus is that if someone gets off they will swim. This is not usually a major problem in a pool, but can be very important when swimming in the ocean or lake. I see no reason to buy a non-levitating version anymore. My only downside is that the entire hole where the thumb…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Requires outlet

Great paddles for beginners!

I took swimming lessons as a kid but they weren't that good (maybe I learned how to paddle like a dog lol) and I'm trying to gain confidence in the water, improve my form and technique, none Fear of deep diving (baby steps lol) so I'm a *very* novice swimmer. I have a friend who helps me in the pool. She let me use her paddles and explained that she used them for exercises when she was on the swim team that day to help with form (which I desperately need help with). However, their paddles were…

Not comfortable for me.

I hate to give negative reviews unless really needed so I've given it 3 stars due to comfort issues. I usually wear webbed neoprene gloves when I swim, but I decided to try them for something different. I didn't notice any difference in resistance between the gloves and these, but the agility paddles work. My problem was mentioned by another reviewer and it's the hole your thumb goes in that is sharp. It dug into the base of my thumb and after about 5 minutes I couldn't take it anymore so I…
