This product is cheaper than the original counterpart - and the quality is much inferior. Is it worth it? Now that I have it, I can assume it's overpriced. Here are a few snags: The reflective surface is plastic, not glass, and has been scratched a few times in wear. The black plastic frame is thin and thin compared to the original. The connection pins for the heating element are half the weight of the original, you just have to crimp the wires to attach them, I suspect the heating element is also part of the original. My original mirror was electrochromic (dimmable), it is not, but note that this feature is missing. Please note that the product itself weighs less than half the weight of the original, probably due to the fact that no glass is used. Yes it works in a pinch, received quickly, installed quickly and solved the safety issue - but I will be buying another dimmable glass mirror. My truck is a 2013 RAM 1500 Laramie.
