Not sure my pup will like this but I love it and he will love being able to take me to more places. It weighs 14 pounds and has short legs, so long hikes or even walks can be a problem. Wheelchairs do not work on gravel and trails. My husband recommended finding a backpack for him. I chose this one because a) it seemed the right size to him, b) it can be placed forward or backward, c) it keeps his limbs free, which feels more comfortable than stuffing it in a pocket, and d) it was inexpensive. , so if it was a bug, it was cheap. Haven't tried it on a long hike yet, but being able to walk back and forth helps when it starts putting too much pressure on my shoulders.
