This is my favorite "blank ".

I love this comforter. I have 2 dogs that are not allowed in my room but they sneak in when they get a chance and go straight to my bed. Also, I have an old little dog that I've let sleep on my bed while she sleeps in it with me since she was a puppy and at 15 I didn't have the heart to throw her out. So I wash it often (e.g. once a week). At the moment it has been washed 5 or 6 times, no signs of wear are visible. It's thin but I knew that when I bought it and it's exactly what I wanted. I can't sleep with just a sheet because I need to feel like I'm wrapped in a blanket. So if I get too hot with my heavier comforter (I live in Florida), I still feel like I've had enough of that much light gauze comforter. It's slightly thicker than the top sheet and I use it as the top sheet. Winter is coming and even in Florida (North Central) the nights can get chilly. So if I need more warmth I put a topsheet underneath or maybe even buy another one! I bought white and it washes very well and stays white and clean. I sometimes hang it on a clothes line in the sun to dry after washing when the weather is dry just to reduce exposure and extend its life, but tumble dry on medium heat is fine too. I bought a king size and it has never shrunk to a size smaller than my mattress. Not sure why a few other reviewers had this issue, but maybe the fabric is usually pre-shrunk and they aren't? I can't explain it to myself, but it's enough for my king mattress even after washing and drying. I will downsize to a queen bed but keep the king duvet because I like it more than a larger duvet on the bed but actually the size is more than enough. This is my favorite duvet and I look forward to buying more over time.
