I bought this monitor to replace a 27 inch Samsung CHG70 monitor which after two years of heavy use started displaying weird iridescent pixels. Everything has been great so far, arrived in perfect condition, no dead pixels. Color accuracy is out of this world, they stand before you like a museum piece compared to Samsung's VA panel, which looks washed out unless you sit directly in front of the monitor. The monitor is so bright that I set the brightness to 0 and the contrast to 20-25. I don't care about black light distortion, if black was important to me I'd buy an OLED panel instead. Gsync is also a great feature, I've never had a crash, unlike the free syncing with an NVIDIA graphics card. It works well in all ranges from 1 Hz to 165 Hz, unlike Free Sync, which has glitches below 55 Hz/55 fps. It also better distinguishes between regular OS programs and games, with no crashes or screen flickering. The only thing that took me getting used to was the perfectly flat panel as apparently the curvature of the 1800R monitor I used to have helps with the FOV to prevent distortion at the edges or something. It took about a day to get used to the monitor's slim design, and it's quite usable now. I also connected my old PS3 to the HDMI input and the colors balance out the console's old 1080p resolution. It is very nice. I feel like I can really enjoy playing older games, maybe even some 2D side scrolling games from 16-bit era consoles.
