I have 2 cats one of which is a kitten. I bought this playpen so I would have a safe place to hide cats when using the oven, sharing food with friends, or doing anything else where cats would be safer when held. This playpen fits the bill and the cats seem to love it. But it was only a matter of time before one of them broke the mesh. This is not a defect in the product, but almost inevitable given how sharp Patty's claws are and that she sometimes hangs from the 'roof' of the playpen. If this happens to you, take a darning needle and some thread or yarn and darn the hole. Even if you don't know how to do it, darning is very easy and there are tutorials on YouTube.
