Great ergonomics, mediocre picture

I bought this monitor for a side project where I was trying to create a battery powered desktop. I'm a freelance software developer living a very mobile lifestyle, but I need a big screen to work effectively. I bought this monitor along with a battery and a small PC in the form of a computer stick and connected them with cables and velcro to form a 24 inch laptop which was assembled in a hurry. Kids, don't do this at home. (I've done a lot of research on the subject though, and for anyone reading this and wanting to repeat my experiment, this monitor is the only one that meets all the requirements as of June 2019: 24-inch minimum; built-in speakers, external power supply, which makes it easy to connect the battery DC connector faces down instead of out so the battery cable doesn't protrude Plenty of flat rear space for battery and computer installation 10-point touch screen Very easy-to-use touchscreen monitor; low power consumption; will Comes with a foldable mesh stand; has VESA mounting holes for future modifications.) The best thing about this monitor is the stand. The stand is covered in a plastic sleeve which feels a little flimsy and plasticky but for my purposes these qualities were perfect as I wanted this thing to be as light as possible. The stand itself works great. It folds flat so the screen is completely parallel to the table, adding about 3 to 4 inches of space between the back of the monitor and the table when folded in this position. Surprisingly, the stand isn't rigid at all and the joints move effortlessly, but once you set it in a certain position, it holds that position without movement. Image quality is aggressively mediocre. A lot of the reviews on here talk about how great the picture quality is, but I'm an IT pro and I stare at my screen reading tiny snippets of text for more than 10 hours a day. I have high standards because I need high standards for my eyes and this monitor just doesn't live up to those standards. The contrast is poor, the brightness is okay, colors look washed out and the screen surface shines discreetly and annoyingly despite its matt appearance.
