I prefer the screen from my previous Acer T232 monitor, but the stand is not adjustable. The UT241Y has an adjustable stand and a borderless screen. It is best if the place is top notch. I bought this monitor for the touchscreen capability. It didn't work right out of the box, and the cables needed for the touchscreen didn't come with the monitor. I've spent a lot of time buying parts through trial and error, but still don't have access to the touchscreen.

The touch screen function works ONLY with the Windows 10 operating system. I just got off the phone with ACER customer service. This seller is not informed and is not responsible for not saying this in the description. DO NOT BUY THIS IF NOT USING WINDOWS 10 UPDATE. The seller claims it works on Mac and not Mac OS.

I love this monitor (pictured right)! I also have two other touchscreen models from Acer (pictured left and center), but this one has the best build quality, latency, connectivity, and tactile feel. Instructions were crap, cables and adapters were designed for Win 7. USB3 cable came with USB-C adapter. The adapter didn't fit the USB-C port - too big to fit behind the monitor bezel near all ports, the Blus-VGA-VGA cable is a bit dated.

For another review. I'm not sure what you're doing wrong, but it's a touchscreen monitor. I bought two of these and love them very much. They tilt almost horizontally and we're perfect for what I need them for. USB-C was a plus as there was only one cable from the computer to the monitor. I read a number of reviews when trying to get the touchscreen to work. Thanks to the reviewer who said it should be a Type-C cable. One end of the Type-C is included in the Acer and the other is included in the laptop. If your laptop doesn't have a Type-C port, I'm sorry. Maybe there is another way for you, but I won't help you with that. I have a Surface Book 3 and it works great :-) I'm not a gamer and use it for general web, email and productivity.

Bought on October 2nd, no they don't come with an A/C cord which you definitely need for the touchscreen to work. Quality is improved by using only one VGA cable to connect the monitor to the hard drive. I spent the money to buy a good quality HDMI cable for it. Good touch screen. My only complaint is that they only include a USB-C port, so I had to buy my own USB-B adapter cable for that. Seems silly as they include a VGA cable as well as HDMI. well!

Acer support will tell you personally (or on the other end of the phone/chat) that this is not a touchscreen. That. Works fine on my laptop, but doesn't _work_ on my PC. Even though I have USB 3.1 Gen 2, it took me all day to find out that my DisplayPort doesn't support Alternate. Unfortunately I've waited too long to discover this and I can't get the smoking pile of excrement back. Should have known better than to buy Acer.
