I was dying to try this lens but ended up being disappointed. I haven't found a combination of settings to sharpen the image. I started with old fashioned film cameras many years ago, so I understand manual focus and settings. Unfortunately I couldn't get this lens to focus near or at infinity or anywhere in between. An internet search revealed that this lens appears to have a known focus ring adjustment issue, although I'm not sure if it's an earlier or later version. In any case, this particular copy was blurred at all settings. I know some people rave about sharpness, but obviously it's a shit shoot out whether you'll get a good copy or it will be necessary *and* you're willing to calibrate focus yourself. In the end I returned it.
