For those who have a traditional GPS system that needs to use its own 9V cable and plug to work properly, you know why this adapter is needed . You also know that there are so many adapters out there that the GPS connector always falls out partially, and how many other adapters don't seem to carry enough power to actually work with your GPS system. Good news: the middle port on this adapter works most of the time. Ha ha. It's better than nothing... and better than the many adapters I've bought over the years that don't help at all.
