I only got this to be able to control the volume on my amp, all the other features like bluetooth, wifi and all the others were just a bonus. I received it today and installed it quickly. So the volume control is better than expected, I was hoping for at least 4-bit resolution, maybe 5-bit; but this device appears to be about 6-bit with the included remote control (although this is just my opinion based solely on my ears and not what you would call a scientific instrument). like that . . . Yes! Connection was easy, although I use a wired connection rather than Wi-Fi. In a few seconds it was available on my network. However, I could not update the firmware; it goes through the process for a few minutes and then gives me "Firmware update failed!" message. UPDATE: I decided to connect via Wi-Fi and finally successfully updated the software. After the update I reconnected the cable and everything is working fine now. I couldn't connect via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi and every time I try to use BT the device stops responding to the included remote although I can still control it via the app (4Stream). UPDATE: After updating the firmware over Wi-Fi, I can now connect over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The sound quality is good; the low frequencies are somewhat "muffled", but the mids and highs seem to come through very transparently. All in all it does what I wanted, which is why I agree to this purchase.
