Save money on RV parts and accessories

Knockouts should be just like this. Don't drill out. The metal is quite heavy but poorly finished. Cheap aluminum rivets keep the door open. Already broken. The screws holding the connector to the case are too small and could break and pop out. The thing was a complete rip off!

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Upgrades

VERY DIFFICULT TO INSTALL

Worst box I have ever worked with. Lid cannot snap into place when attempting to assemble. is constantly in motion during installation. NOTHING weatherproof, except for the lid, covers the fully opened base. The screw holes on the back will open. Knockout holes NO. Even a steel punch is difficult to pierce.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Slightly torn

not bad - electronics

The knockout holes had to be drilled and then used with a knockout punch. The 2 screws holding the inner exhaust panel to the box are so small I had to use pliers to hold them to reinstall them and they are also easy to lose. overall good, just NOT professional.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

The box is great. Need a drill to remove knockout holes

This box is great apart from the fact that the recesses need to be drilled and not just used as a hammer and blunt like I usually do. When I went and got a drill, found the right size drill, etc., the rest of the PITA setup was short. The socket and box appear to be of decent quality; Knockout issue aside, I like the box better than the ones I recently installed under the Eaton brand.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Some Complications

Cutouts are not cutouts

You can see in the picture that there are cutouts on the side and bottom to attach the duct to the box. These are not cutouts but bumps that are melted into the metal and are not knocked out with pliers like typical cutouts. Once you open the box you'll find a piece of paper that says you need to use a knockout to get started. I find the description misleading. As an electrician, I have the tools to fix the problem, but Amazon and the seller need to be a little more honest as most homeowners…

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Frequency

Design flaws make installation difficult.

This was my second RV socket installation. I'm a seasoned handyman, not an electrician, but I deeply regretted this purchase when we set about installing it. Three design problems: 1. Cutouts at the bottom are not real cutouts. They're more like a stamp. You need to use a punch tool set to open them. If you don't have one, you're screwed. This is unlike other RV power supplies or most outdoor power supplies from USA manufacturers. Knockout holes are easy to knock out. We did our project over…

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Very expensive
