Not much to report except after replacing the oversized cable modem cable that came with our service. From this point on, there were occasional disconnections daily, almost every hour with the Internet. Talking to the service's technical support, we were able to confirm the loss of packets and disconnects on their part. The only thing that has changed compared to before is the interchangeable cable. Not worth sending back for the money. That might not be a problem for cable TV, but in the age of video conferencing and telecommuting, it really isn't worth trying again. How do I know it's a cable? I replaced it again with a cable from the cable company and it hasn't disconnected for 2 days in a row. So find out. Why? Your guess is as good as mine, unless there's an internal break in the wire or bad wire connections, it looks like it should work, but it doesn't.
