Booster pump RO 500 GPD

This is the second pump I have had to replace in the system. When these pumps work, they work well, but not for long. Installation is easy, just connect the wires in the same place as the old ones. in the first 8 months it is relatively quiet here. But it's getting louder, and now it's clear that something is wrong. I'm not happy with the life of the pump but it works and gives us enough water through our reverse osmosis system to keep up with demand. I haven't found another pump that can do the job, but I'll keep looking as I don't want to replace these every year. Update: Well I am using my 4th pump and need a new one. . We've had a system since 2015, five pumps in six years? Not a very good value. The system cost over $500 and the pumps are currently running at $125 so that's over $1,000 right now! Don't get me wrong, when it works, the system is great. But these pumps are really bad. I plan on trying to fix it this weekend to see if it can be fixed and hopefully save me a buck or three.

Pros
  • Safe to run on low power (low voltage - 36 volts)
Cons
  • I will add later
