I have back pain from sitting and this stand was perfect. It lifts the underside of the 11-inch MBP per 18.5-inch off the tabletop, along with the screen, which is still in a vertical orientation. I think this is the most portable and tallest stand. The folding arm makes it very portable! I carry it with me to use on various bar tables in my library. Other coasters cannot be lifted in the same way, but are still portable. It is also very very durable. It's a bit heavy for constant wear, but it's worth it! I wouldn't buy any other stand. I've tried shorter bamboo poles (which look classy) and ones that are about 6 inches tall. I now use them for my iPad at home.
