Review on 🔪 Efficiently Slice like a Pro: Norpro Heavy Duty Adjustable Cheese Slicer Unleashed! by Andrea Walters

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Who cut the cheese? I have made.

Yes, I cut cheese. I once found a decent food slicer that worked exactly as the product description said it would. The Norpro cheese slicer turned out to be good, and surprisingly after looking through a few of them to only find one that worked. as the product claims. So let's look at a few of them: ▪ Made from super strong zinc alloy: true, and it's strong too ▪ Easy to adjust to different thicknesses: quite true ▪ Hand wash recommended: probably good advice ▪ 5"/13cm measurements: true and this is it Overall length ▪ Includes additional stainless steel cutting wire: True Other observations not listed in product description: ▪ Made in Taiwan for Norpro, listed on back of package ▪ Cuts cheese up to 4" thick Measured◆ Other products purchased: Looking at a few other cheese slicers I've bought here over the past two years, here are some subjective observations: OXO Good Grips Wire Cheese Slicer This had good prospects as I've had good experiences with a few other kitchen deliveries over the years time. The rubberized grip seemed like a good idea and the overall design was good, but there was no slice thickness adjustment. And obwo When he had stainless steel wire "for easy cutting," the wire broke after four months and ended up in the trash; a real 1 star device. I later discovered a newer OXO Good Grips Wire Cheese Slicer with spare wires, but it was too late by then. Swissmar Adjustable Cheese Slicer Another promising product as it was a strong and durable product. The specs show it measuring "5-2/3" by 5", which is correct. But the brass side screws had to be adjusted with pliers. The wire on this one broke less than a year later, so a review on the Swissmar website revealed that the listing stated "a replacement wire for #D1024 Dalla Piazza for cutting cheese under the Dalla Piazza brand. Also suitable for Swissmar brand #S3009 adjustable wire cutter. Simply loosen the screws on the sides of the Slicer, replace cord and tighten screws." Can't find it here at Revain so it's in my kitchen drawer until I can get a replacement cord locally. This is 3 star cookware. ◆ Summary: So far I have had no complaints about this Norpro Cheese Slicer (Model #330). It's convenient to use, well made and has a decent finish that makes it easy to clean. The roller runs very smoothly, the brass side adjustment screws hold up fairly well, with a good thickness range for cheese slices. The stainless steel cutting wire is still taut after a few months of use and a spare wire is included in the packaging in case the original wire breaks. At this point I will contact Norpro. This is good cutlery and highly recommended for anyone looking for a decent slicer. Who cut the cheese? Yes, one day I found a slicer that actually worked. Far East ▪ 02/09/2014
