Update: The release of macOS Big Sur "11.3" fixed this monitor's "freeze/reboot" issue when using a Thunderbolt cable. That's good news. Finally it works great now. Apple, please take my money :) All new Macs with the M1 chip can run this monitor at a full resolution of 3840 x 1600 @ 144Hz with a Thunderbolt cable or a USB-C to DisplayPort cable. This incredible monitor is AWESOME in every way. The color is super rich and vibrant. The LCD is very bright, actually too bright, so I have to turn the brightness down. Love the fact that I use 1 cable (Thunderbolt, included), charge my MB Air and have access to the onboard USB ports on the display. I had another LG 38" (38WK95C-W) which was an earlier version of this monitor and only ran at 60Hz and still thought it was great. I can't stress enough how great 144Hz is. At 144Hz everything is so smooth and a pleasure to use. So exciting that my M1 can run at this refresh rate. (Note: To change the refresh rate with your Mac M1, select the zoom option and click Low View resolution modes, then select 144Hz if you have an M1 Mac.)
