I originally bought these shoes to protect my heels without having full socks - it's too hot here in Las Vegas to wear socks in the summer. What I didn't expect was that they would take full care of my dry heels. and no lotion! I've been using lotions and creams for years just to get the sweet spot (i.e. not cracking or bleeding) with my heels, but after a few days of use the dry skin flakes off completely (and painlessly) leaving nice, smooth skin heels . . I can't recommend them enough! (Plus they are very comfortable! The gel is very soothing and relieves tension.)
