Cruel honesty here. I want a bluetooth BBQ thermometer with multiple probes while staying at home in inclement weather. Other than that, this is my second. The first lasted about 4 years with constant, almost daily use. The probe's braided shield finally broke due to excessive bending and there were no more readings. I tried getting a replacement sensor but found it more economical to just buy a brand new unit. I like how it works. It's extremely accurate and I WILL NOT COOK MEAT WITHOUT IT! I also use it for other dishes besides meat. I use it in my regular oven, fryer and grill. I can always prepare perfect meat. I can be assured that it is completely ready and will not dry out or require chewing on burned skin! I use it to time boiled eggs. I set the temperature just below boiling point (205 degrees) and submerge the probe in a saucepan with water and eggs. When the temperature alarm sounds, I set the timer for the exact time to cook the eggs. This is how I always get perfectly hard-boiled eggs! The price of this device is lower than any other device with similar characteristics that I have seen. the most valuable tool in my kitchen!
