Review on Hohem iSteady Pro 3: Splash Proof 3-Axis Gimbal Stabilizer for GoPro Hero & DJI Osmo Action Cameras - WiFi & Wireless Cable Control by Robert Hole

i just received the item yesterday and bought it as a christmas gift for family to play along with gopro 5 hero black so i just play with it it for 3 hours to ensure the item is in good condition before the 30 day window for an easy return is lost and I want to give honest feedback quickly to people looking to buy it for Christmas. Initially I had a bit of a problem with this, when I turned on the gimbal the camera was facing me instead of in front of me (it should automatically be placed forward) and when I pressed the shutter button 2 times instead of turning back to the back the camera in the middle didn't do anything and when i pressed the mode button 1-2-3-4 times instead of always changing the mode it just changed eventually and i started to think i got a lemon and returned the item , after downloading the app got it I did an update and recheck. This took about 5 minutes and everything worked as intended. I have to say it helps the GoPro 5 a lot with stabilization, not perfect but essential, can connect the GoPro to the gimbal to charge the camera while the camera is in use. The problem is that I had to turn the camera upside down to access the connecting door on the camera makes it difficult to press the power button, turning on talk mode on the camera fixes that minor issue. I was charging the stabilizer on my laptop and the stabilizer got a little warm around the battery. compartment, the camera mount could be better, not that it's not good, it holds the camera securely, it's just not very practical, the rubber stopper that prevents water from entering the usb dc-out / dc-in is weak , but the mount is very fragile and requires special attention from us when using the gimbal not to break it and lose it and for that I had to deduct 1 star (I didn't) I don't like the idea that for a Cheap rubber doesn't fit the gimbal well I might lose the waterproofing advantage. It's a bit heavy, but I appreciate the large battery and the extra cable to connect my GoPro to the gimbal to extend battery life. It's really good not to have to buy an extra battery and carry it around. For $89 I wasn't expecting the best quality plastic the money can buy, it's ok, I think it's pretty durable, we'll use it for extra protection after we get a review from a pro who said he likes it best compared to the GoPro stabilizer and other expensive stabilizers. the software included in the app and i have not played with anything other than controlling the movement of the camera that sits on the 3 post attachment from my smartphone, it's a nice touch, love this option and will be looking into it Play Christmas with the rest. I read that the warranty is for 1 year, there is nothing in the package for product registration or anything about the warranty, I only found an email address and a Chinese phone number. I really hope we don't have to go there. with all options at this price i am satisfied with the isteady pro2 stabilizer, if it does not meet my expectations i will reconsider my rating in the future. will also be
