I wish the instructions were clearer. I mistakenly assumed that I could change the filter, but I didn't realize that to access the filter on my Suzuki Forenza 05 you have to disassemble the gearbox. I removed the transmission pan but didn't see the filter. I came onto the Suzuki forum and found out that the filter is internal and you have to remove the gearbox to swap it out. I used the gasket from the kit to reinstall the pan but the filter part was a waste of money. I should have researched more about the filter change. As this filter is vehicle specific, it would be good to know that the transmission will need to be removed to replace it.
