I studied several leather dyes before attempting to repair a brown leather stool that had been exposed to too much sunlight and was badly faded and cracked. I took into account the negative reviews but after watching a few YouTube videos on how to use the Tandy product I bought it from Timber Brown. In just 15 minutes, the color and the skin itself have improved beyond belief. It was necessary to put a little on a clean rag and rub it in in a circular motion, then wipe off the excess with a paper towel. I apply a second coat and leave it on overnight. I then applied a skin shine/protector and it looks really great. Not only does it look good, but the skin is now in good condition. It barely left a dent in the paint bottle, so there's plenty more if I have to repeat the process later. Watch the video before you start, they will help.
